Project: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training and Mental Wellness Lunch Sessions

The goal of the project is the provision of mental health education to women and girls, with a focus on the scope of issues this demographic faces presently in society. Funding for this project focuses on suicide prevention and other relevant skills for mental health wellness. The projects will involve 500 participants through a 12-month period. The following sessions will be delivered over the course of a year:

  • One ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) session for 10 women who work in the trades. 
  • Eight lunch-and-learn sessions on targeted mental health topics directed at women and girls and intended to give them skills to support good mental health. Each session will involve 15 to 25 women.
